Management Accountant

Job Description

Venture Recruitment Partners are delighted to be supporting a well-known and established business based on the outskirts of Southampton, which is seeking to recruit a newly-created Management Accountant position.

 Key Responsibilities: 

  • Support Financial Accountant in preparation of monthly management accounts.
  • Support the finance function in the production of forecasts and annual budgets.
  • First stage review on finance documentation as required.
  • Support the Financial Accountant with preparation of annual financial statements and year end process.
  • Support across the Commercial and Finance team on projects.
  • Development of procedures and processes within the department to contribute to the success of the organisation.
  • Financial analysis to support decision-making within the company
  • Other Ad Hoc tasks as required 

Key Skills & Experience: 

  • Part Qualified and progressing towards full chartered accountant status.
  • Experience of working in a finance team
  • Experience in the preparation of financial reports for both business month-end and year-end processes.
  • Have an excellent working knowledge of Microsoft software packages, primarily excel formulas and pivot tables, and experience of recognised accounting software.
  • Confident to challenge and able to influence business behaviour and projects.
  • Be a team player and self-starter, with the ability to meet deadlines.
  • Have good verbal and written communication skills
