Management Accountant

We’re supporting a global technology business with the recruitment of a Qualified Management Accountant to join their team, working closely with various stakeholders across the organisation and contributing to the development and implementation of financial strategies and initiatives.

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Prepare and analyse monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports, and present them to Finance Controller and Finance Director
  • Develop and monitor budgets, forecasts, and cash flows for the organisation and its business units, and provide variance analysis and recommendations
  • Provide financial advice and guidance to senior management and business units on financial performance, risks, opportunities, and best practices
  • Identify and implement process improvements and cost savings initiatives to enhance efficiency and profitability
  • Review and reconcile accounts and transactions, and ensure timely and accurate month-end and year-end closing
  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of accounting records and documentation, and adhere to the organisation's policies and procedures
  • Maintain internal controls and audit trails, and ensure compliance with accounting standards, policies, and regulations
  • Assist with external audits and tax compliance, and liaise with auditors, tax authorities, and other external parties
  • Research and update accounting standards, policies, and regulations, and keep abreast of the latest developments and trends in the field
  • Manage and mentor junior accounting staff, and provide training and coaching as needed
  • Performing inter-company reconciliations and eliminations, and ensuring consistency and accuracy of financial data across different entities and systems.

 

About you:

 

  • Experienced in working in an international and multi-cultural environment.
  • Previous responsibility for Accounting and Reporting, Forecasting and Budgeting, developing Business Plan, Working Capital management and Cash Flow.
  • Fully Qualified (e.g. ACA, ACCA, or CIMA).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
  • Excellent communication and people skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Has worked in agile, high-performance, and fast-paced environments
  • Proficient in UK GAAP and experience in handling auditors
  • High attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities and demands.
