Venture Charity Quiz with Naomi House & Jacksplace

Last week we took a break from Finance and Accountancy recruitment to host our Quiz Night to raise money for Naomi House and Jacksplace. We run our quiz regularly throughout the year, so keep an eye on our events page to see when we’re at a location near you, and to get involved!

Having previously hosted our Charity Quiz Night in Southampton, this time we took to the road and hosted at Wimborne Town Football Club. Attendees arrived at 6:30 and Senior Corporate Fundraiser Ella Clayton discussed the dedicated care that Naomi House and Jacksplace offer to children and young adults throughout the year and the amount of work that goes into fundraising their fundraising. One of the amazing points to note about the charity is the fact they also offer care and support to families of the children and young adults they look after for as long as they need it.

Afterward, we then got straight to the quiz with rounds including Google-translated lyrics, pictures, slogans, diploids, and music video rounds. The quiz master for the evening was our Practice Consultant Ben Wilkinson, supported by score captain Shaun Coston who works on Transactional Appointments in Dorset and Southampton. We took a break halfway through for networking, drinks, and food whilst scores were counted before the second round.

After the second round of (impossible) questions, the final scores were counted and it’s no surprise that the Venture team scored miserably! First place went to England & Company, and second place went to MSP Capital, both sponsors of the football club.

Through attending the quiz and donating, we managed to raise money which will go straight to Naomi House to continue to support their dedicated and individualised care. We’d like to say a huge thank you to every single person who attended as with your support, we’re able to raise money for a fantastic cause at the same time as meeting new faces in the world of finance and accountancy, and of course, having fun!
