Assistant Accountant

Job Description

Venture Recruitment Partners are working with a growing Manufacturer based in Southampton. Our client is seeking to recruit a Part-time Assistant Accountant on a 3-6 month temporary basis.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Looking after Purchase Ledger, including balance sheet reconciliations and purchase invoices.
  • Responsible for Payroll of staff.
  • Credit Control, including dealing with, and prioritising queries.
  • Assisting with Management Accounts when required.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Must have processed payroll before
  • Ideally have had recent experience of change of systems or demonstrate that their recent placements have all had different systems
  • Have had placements where they are covering a wide variety of roles (PL, Credit control, Bank reconciliations, payroll)
  • Have had temporary assignments previously


Duration- 3-6 months 
Location- Southampton
Pay: £15-20 p/h
Part time hours consider - 24-35 hours a week 
Minimum 2 days in the office
