Assistant Accountant

Job Description

Venture Recruitment Partners are delighted to be working with a Healthcare business, based in Fareham, who are seeking an Assistant Accountant on an initial 6-month contract. Potential to go permanent.

Salary - £24-27,000 p/a
Hybrid working - 3 days a week in the office

Key Responsibilities include:

    • Supporting the Purchase Ledger process, including checking, coding, and posting invoices
    • Assisting with month-end tasks such as accruals, prepayments, and fixed asset management
    • Performing balance sheet reconciliations
    • Assisting in the preparation of annual budgets and reforecasts
    • Helping to prepare monthly profit and loss analysis
    • Reporting on actual versus budget performance
    • Providing support to the Management Accountant

Key Skills/Experience include:

    • A proactive approach with a commitment to continuous improvement
    • Excellent problem-solving abilities
    • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
    • Advanced Excel skills, including experience with PivotTables, SUMIF, and INDEX MATCH functions
