We are delighted to be partnering with a PLC in the recruitment of a Finance Analyst to sit within the Finance Business Service Team. This is a key role within the business, focused on improved functionality, data integrity and security. There will also be the ownership of financial system processes and ensuring robust and proportionate controls.
The Finance Analyst is responsible for driving and acting as a first line of defence assurance of financial controls for all finance systems, ensuring continuous improvement of the control and governance framework.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accountable for identifying, assessing and managing financial controls and segregation of duties for all finance systems
- Responsible for driving solutions with IT and ensuring appropriate closure of action plans developed in response to any ineffective controls/ control gaps
- Working closely with business process owners and IT to ensure adequate controls are in place, tested and monitored consistently across all finance systems
- Develop and maintain financial control documentation and logs
- Proactively evaluate systems risks and engage process owners and IT to ensure root causes are identified and addressed
- Build & maintain effective working relationships with key stakeholders, driving a culture of risk ownership and continuous improvement
- Work with Financial Control & Governance Lead and IT to support internal control walkthroughs and/ or external audits
- Manage and track the action plan of internal control walkthroughs and/ or external audits
Key Skills:
- From a Finance Background
- Intermediate knowledge of system controls identification and evaluation
- Experience in performing system and risk controls testing
- Ability to demonstrate exceptional documentation skills, managing action plans, workshops and projects
