We are delighted to be supporting a global engineering business with the recruitment of a Financial Accountant for their Fixed and Lease Asset Accounting team. Working in the Finance Business Service team this role will act as a key point of contact both internally and externally on all aspects of Fixed and Lease Asset accounting across the Group.

This role is primarily remote but will require twice monthly travel to the Portsmouth offices.

The role will include:

Administration of the Group’s IFRS 16 BPC tool and associated accounting and supporting the eventual interface to ERP systems.

Working within the Finance department, newly formed finance business service team.
Reporting to the Finance Manager (Fixed and Lease Assets).
Collaborating with the wider Babcock Finance team.
Ad hoc financial accounts-related duties.

About you:

We’re seeking an ACCA or ACA student with:

Strong experience and knowledge of building and reconciling Balance Sheets.
Strong communication skills, able to partner with other teams within the business.
Approachable and friendly personality
