Our client is looking for an experienced Head of Finance to join their Finance team in Southampton.
The successful candidate will be responsible for all aspects of finance for the company and wider businesses and be a senior member of the Finance team with line manager responsibilities.
ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Business partner to various Directors and Heads of departments.
- Responsibility for review and continuous improvement within the business process framework of all accounting and finance team processes.
- Production of monthly management accounts including profit and loss accounts, balance sheets and cash flow statements. Ensuring accounting policies are in line with UK GAAP.
- Responsibility for the preparation of annual budgeting process
- Delivery of monthly R&O forecasts and matchday forecasting and cost management forecasting to inform and influence Head of Department decision making.
- Reviewing business financial performance and recommending areas of focus and improvement.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
- Qualified member of an accountancy body (ICAEW, ACCA, CIMA or holder of an equivalent qualification)
- Experience of working in hospitality or leisure is desirable
- Experience of producing accounts, KPIs and reports at Board level
- Successful track record of leading a finance function
- Advanced Microsoft Excel user
- Exceptional communication skills at all levels
