What will we discuss?

In this insight-packed talk, Emma will share what it really takes to build high-performing teams that deliver meaningful results. Drawing from extensive experience across both fast-paced startups and large-scale enterprises, she’ll offer practical tips on how to form cross-functional teams, shape how they think, and secure the funding and support they need to thrive.

Expect honest reflections, proven strategies, and actionable frameworks you can take back to your own organisation. This is a valuable opportunity to ask questions, gain fresh perspectives, and walk away with a deeper understanding of how to build teams that truly collaborate and perform.

About Emma:

Emma is an accomplished technology executive with a passion for building inclusive, high-performing teams and creating space for women—especially working mothers—to thrive in tech. Currently Vice President of Digital at Carnival UK, Emma leads strategic digital transformation efforts, shaping a roadmap that spans innovation, commercial impact, and culture.

Before joining the corporate world, Emma cut her teeth in the startup ecosystem—founding and scaling an award-winning AI marketing startup backed by female-led VCs who shared a belief in purpose-driven leadership and diverse representation in tech. That experience shaped her ethos: to champion access, flexibility, and visibility for women in digital and technical careers.

With a career that bridges entrepreneurial grit and enterprise scale, Emma brings a unique perspective on how to lead boldly, build cross-disciplinary alliances, and embed equity into the core of business strategy. Whether developing future-facing roadmaps or mentoring rising leaders, her work is anchored in creating opportunities that empower others to lead on their own terms.
