Assistant Accountant

Venture Recruitment Partners are delighted to be supporting a growing Group of companies, based on the outskirts of Southampton, in their search for a Temporary Assistant Accountant to help with the integration of a recently acquired business.

What you'll be doing:

  • Oversee day – to – day financial operations, including sales ledger, purchase ledger, credit card/expenses 
  • Manage the short term cashflows of the business
  • Payroll processing and preparation for the outsourced company
  • Maintain inter – company invoicing and reconciliation
  • Prepare and complete VAT returns
  • Processing journals as part of the month end process, and on an ad hoc basis
  • Undertake bank reconciliations
  • P&L reconciliation and analysis

What you'll bring:

  • Proven experience working with an ERP system (Sage 50, 100 or 200)
  • Strong Excel skills, including experience with formulas, functions, and data manipulation.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.


Rate - £16-18 per hour PAYE
Duration - 1-2 months
Hybrid working
